Director: Elle Flanders
Filmmaker Elle Flanders explores the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from the perspective of two ethnically mixed gay couples living in the region. Ezra, a Jew, must come to terms with the fact that his Muslim lover, Selim, will be deported from Jerusalem. And, despite their love, lesbian couple Edit and Samira’s cultural differences frequently cause problems in their relationship. Flanders intercuts these two modern-day stories with home footage of her grandparents in Israel during the 1950s.
