Depressed and still reeling from a recent divorce, Gwen (Martha Plimpton) moves in with her sister Queenie (Amy Ryan) and brother-in-law Lars (Ewen Bremner). On a blind date, Gwen discovers she has a strange ability that allows her to fix machines and cure peoples’ physical ailments. With the help of Queenie and publicist Laura (Annabella Sciorra), Gwen embarks on a lucrative career as a spiritual healer. But, for all her newfound success, she still finds happiness elusive.
