Hallmark Hall of Fame:: The Hunchback of Notre Dame (TVE)

An adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic tale follows deformed Quasimodo (Anthony Hopkins) as he falls for the lovely Gypsy Esmeralda (Lesley-Anne Down). Unfortunately, Quasimodo’s strict father figure at Notre Dame Cathedral, Dom Claude Frollo (Derek Jacobi), also becomes smitten with Esmeralda, leading to a conflict that extends outside the confines of the sacred Paris landmark. Complicating the drama further is the presence of handsome soldier Phoebus (Robert Powell).
