Cafe Society

A tangled web of greed, decadence and scandal in 1950s Manhattan surrounds margarine fortune heir Mickey Jelke (Frank Whaley), who is accused by his girl friend, Patricia Ward (Lara Flynn Boyle), and arrested for pimping. Police detective Jack Kale (Peter Gallagher) goes undercover as a movie actor to ingratiate himself with Jelke, who introduces him to the fast party set that favors nightclub hot spot El Casbah, which may or may not hide Jelke’s alleged ring of prostitution.
